Job Description

POSITION : WID/Social & Community Aspect Expert
QUALIFICATION : Must have university degree in Social Science or Socio-economics or Community development or equivalent academic background. Educational qualification may be relaxed in case of highly experienced candidate.
EXPERIENCE : At least 5 years practical experience in community development activities. Social and community development activities with rural fisher women shall be considered as an additional experience. Capable of undertaking extensive tours to remote rural areas. Length of experience may be relaxed incase of highly qualified candidate.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Coordinate all WID related activities
  • Review the present role and status of rural women especially fisher- women in rural areas.
  • Review the present role of rural women in decision making at family as well as community level.
  • Identify the present requirements to enhance the participation of women in community based development activities including shrimp culture.
  • Asses and report the present level and percentage of education among rural women.
  • Asses and report present socio-economic and health condition of rural women.
  • Production of training materials & conduct training/awareness raising courses in collaboration with IC, NPC & LC.
  • Advise the counterparts on the follow-up programs and on the sustainability on their services after the project period
  • Contribute as a resource person in training program and monitor.
  • Submit monthly progress report to CTA through NPC.
